Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) takes immense pride in announcing the remarkable achievement of three leaders within the College’s Student Affairs department: Pamela Dunn, Director of Admissions; Lori Parnell, Director of Financial Aid; and Jennifer Thigpen, Registrar.
Each of these ladies graduated from Kennesaw State University with their master’s degrees in Higher Education on December 17.
The path forged by these three women is a powerful example of the College’s mission fulfilled. Dunn, Parnell and Thigpen did not just start their careers at OFTC — each began in entry-level positions, from bookstore cashier to admissions assistant. Their long-term commitment and dedication to professional growth have led them to the critical leadership roles they now hold.
“To watch these three professionals, who started their careers within our halls, rise to this level is profoundly moving,” shared Dr. Saketha Adams, Vice President for Student Affairs. “Their dedication proves that continuous education and hard work lead directly to opportunity. We are exceptionally proud of the powerful legacy they are building at OFTC.”
Adams reflected on their journey, noting a quote by Booker T. Washington: “Success is not measured by where you stand, but by the direction in which you are moving.”
“This sentiment captures their story perfectly,” she added. “We celebrate these new master’s degree holders and recognize the expertise and commitment they bring back to the campus community.”
