As part of this commitment, OFTC has partnered with Vector Solutions to provide students with free online training designed to increase awareness of sexual and relationship violence, promote healthy decision-making, and encourage respectful interactions.
RespectEdu for Community College Students
This is a comprehensive online training program that helps students:
- Understand and practice consent
- Build healthy, respectful relationships
- Recognize and reduce the risk of sexual and relationship violence
- Develop emotionally intelligent communication skills
- Increase awareness of mental health and personal well-being
- Explore personal values and healthy decision-making
Rooted in research and aligned with higher education compliance standards, RespectEdu uses engaging, interactive learning to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to create safer campus communities.
Required for COLL1060
Completion of RespectEdu for Community College Students is a required component of COLL1060 – Introduction to College and Computers.
Students enrolled in COLL1060 will receive instructions for accessing the course during the semester.
Although the training is required for COLL1060 students, it is available at no cost to all OFTC students who wish to participate.
