OFTC – Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) will begin offering evening cosmetology classes this spring, giving more students the flexibility to pursue a career in the beauty industry. The 2026 spring semester begins January 12.
“We are thrilled to offer evening classes in our Cosmetology program,” said OFTC Vice President for Academic Affairs, Michele Strickland. “This new schedule allows students who may work during the day or have other commitments to still gain the hands-on training and industry knowledge needed to launch a successful career in cosmetology.”
The program will accept an evening cohort each spring, with classes meeting four days a week beginning at 4 p.m.
Interested students can learn more by contacting OFTC Cosmetology Instructor Shanna Smith at ssmith@oftc.edu or 478-274-7844.
About the Cosmetology Program
OFTC’s Cosmetology program can be completed in 1–7 semesters, depending on the specific track a student chooses. Students gain knowledge and hands-on experience to pursue careers as cosmetologists, salon managers, stylists, or even salon owners.
In the program, students master essential skills such as hair cutting, coloring, styling, skin and nail care, and salon management, all taught using the latest industry techniques and trends. Classes take place in a state-of-the-art, recently redesigned salon, giving students a top-tier learning experience.
