Black History Month Event – Jefferson

Join OFTC as we honor Black History Month with special programs across our campuses. These events will reflect on the rich history, culture, and significant contributions of the African American community. Each program will feature a guest speaker and provide students, faculty, and staff with an opportunity to learn, reflect, and celebrate together.

Event Speaker:

		Dr. Derrick Standifer is a nationally recognized youth motivational speaker known for his high-energy, inspiring message Life is Like a Rubik’s Cube. Through his powerful personal journey—from college dropout to Ph.D.—he has motivated more than 20,000 students, educators, and parents to navigate life’s twists and turns with purpose and resilience. Dr. Standifer is the author of Life is Like a Rubik’s Cube, which has been adapted into a personal development curriculum used in schools and mentoring programs nationwide. He now leads workshops and seminars that equip individuals with practical strategies to maximize their potential and keep their commitments.
