What is Verify My FAFSA?
Verify My FAFSA is a secure, mobile-friendly platform that makes your financial aid process easier and more convenient. With it, you can:
- Complete financial aid forms on your phone, tablet, or computer
- Securely upload required documents from any device
- E-sign forms — you and your parents
- Manage your financial aid tasks all in one place online
- Get automated reminders to stay on track
How Will I Know If I Need to Use It?
If you’re selected for verification, OFTC’s Financial Aid Office will email you using the address you have on file. The email will include instructions for logging into the Verify MY FAFSA portal.
Once you log in, you’ll see one of two messages:
✅ “Congratulations!” – No additional documents are needed.
📄 “Outstanding Tasks” – Lists documents you need to submit.
Getting Started with Verify My FAFSA
1Register Your Account
- Login using the button below. The first time you log in, you’ll see a registration screen. Fill in any missing details and click Register Account.
🔑 Tip: Make sure your name, date of birth, and Social Security number match what you entered on your FAFSA.
2Explore Your Dashboard
- Your portal homepage will show the sections you need to complete. Click the arrows to expand each section and view specific tasks that need to be completed.
3Complete Your Tasks
- Some tasks ask you to fill out forms directly in the portal. Others may require you to upload documents like your tax return.
📸 Tip: Use your smartphone to take legible pictures of documents and upload them — no scanner needed!
Once you finish all tasks, the Submit button will activate so you can send your information.
About E-Sign
Verify My FAFSA lets both students and parents (if required) e-sign documents instead of printing and signing by hand. You’ll just create a secure PIN to use instead of a physical signature.
🔐 You can opt out of e-signing at any time if you prefer to print and sign.
