Martin Brock has been named Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) 2024 Adult Education Outstanding Teacher of the Year (OTOY).

Brock is a resident of Laurens County and has been serving students in the classroom since 2021. His genuine care of others has led him to lead a life of service; his mindset and attitude affect change in his students’ lives.

“I consider my greatest contributions and accomplishments in education are to see students receive the assurance of our unwavering support to help them reach their educational, and personal goals,” Brock shared. “From the beginning up to graduation, I constantly remind them of their value; that they are smart, kind, and important to us and our program.”

“Martin is very dedicated to his students and the program,” said Demme McManus, Dean of OFTC’s Adult Education program. “He sees the value education brings to the lives of his students and provides more than just academic instruction.  He shares life lessons that help students see that challenges and struggles are part of growth and can be overcome to achieve all their goals.”
