Long-time Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) Board of Directors (BOD) member, Ron May, was recently honored at the college’s June board meeting.

May will retire effective July 1 after many faithful years of service to the OFTC BOD.

“Ron May has served as a college board member faithfully,” shared OFTC President, Erica Harden. “Not only did he support the college by attending board meetings but celebrated our students’ accomplishments at commencement exercises and attended OFTC Foundation events. He is a respected member of our community who brought an attitude of service to the board with a touch of humor.”

As a native of Washington County with a deep-rooted history in finance, May always brought awareness of local economics and its potential impact on the college’s growth.

“’Service Above Self’ may be Rotary International’s motto, but OFTC retiring Board Member Ron May has truly exemplified service to OFTC’s 11 county service delivery area,” shared Ben Harvill, Chair of the OFTC BOD. “He has been a representative voice for all technical needs of the communities we serve.”
