Felicia Ailster, Executive Director of Financial Aid at Georgia Gwinnett Technical College Tapped to Speak at OFTC’s 2023 Fall Commencement & HSE Graduation

Sandersville, Ga., (OFTC) — Felicia Ailster, Executive Director of Financial Aid at Georgia Gwinnett Technical College is slated to serve as guest speaker for Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) 2023 Fall Commencement & High School Equivalency Graduation Ceremony, Thursday, September 28, on the College’s North Campus in Sandersville. 

Ailster started her journey in financial aid as a Federal Work Study student during her undergraduate years at the University of Florida. With a distinguished track record, she’s held key leadership roles and made significant contributions to various state and technical institutions. Her exceptional leadership qualities were recognized when she served as a past president of Georgia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (GASFAA) and key roles with Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA). 

Ailster is deeply committed to the advancement of higher education and actively engages with professional organizations such as GASFAA, SASFAA, and National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). Her involvement on their Executive Boards in multiple capacities reflects her passion for promoting best practices and fostering collaboration within financial aid in higher education. 

With a solid understanding of federal and state financial aid regulations and processes, Ailster has earned the trust and respect of numerous colleagues in the local and regional education community. She continually seeks new opportunities to enhance her knowledge and remain at the forefront of this ever-evolving industry. 

Currently, Ailster serves as the Executive Director of Financial Aid at Gwinnett Technical College where she brings her wealth of experience to effectively manage and support students’ financial needs. As she embarks on her higher education journey, her enthusiasm and dedication remain unwavering, driving her to make a lasting impact in the lives of students in higher education.
