OFTC’s William Fuller Wins Bronze for Second Consecutive Year at SkillsUSA State Conference

William Fuller, OFTC Air Conditioning Technology student, earned bronze at the SkillsUSA State Conference

Dublin, Ga., (OFTC) –William Fuller, Air-Conditioning Technology student at Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) garnered a bronze medal at the 2025 SkillsUSA State Leadership & Skills Conference held in Atlanta on Friday, February 21. 

According to the SkillsUSA website, the state Leadership & Skills Conference gives students the opportunity to put their technical skills to the test in over 70 career competitions and sharpen their workplace and technical skills in leadership training. 

Fuller participated in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) competition which included a series of testing stations designed to assess skills identified by industry HVACR standards. Industry equipment used during the workstations portion of the competition may include, but is not limited to, ice machines, refrigerated display cases, small package HVAC units, furnaces and split-system air conditioning and/or heat pump systems, mini-split and/or ductless systems, and geothermal units. 

“William has proven himself to be a highly motivated and skilled individual through his continued participation in the SkillsUSA competition,” shared OFTC Air Conditioning Technology instructor, Bradley Huckabee. “He earned a bronze medal for the second consecutive year, a strong achievement, especially considering the increased number of competitors this year.” 

“This consistency demonstrates his dedication and solid skills in this field,” he added. 

A resident of Eastman, Fuller is currently enrolled in the college’s Air Conditioning Technology Diploma Program and is on track to graduate in June.
