Local Kindergarten & 1st Grade Classes Attend OFTC’s Mrs. Claus Reads in Sandersville
Sandersville, Ga., (OFTC) — Nearly 215 Kindergartners and 1st grade students from Ridge Road Primary School and the Brentwood School in Washington County visited with Mrs. Claus during Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) Mrs. Claus Reads event in Sandersville, Wednesday, December 4.
Smiles filled the children’s faces as they entered to see the hallways of the Ben J. Tarbutton Jr. Business Development Center lined with Christmas trees decorated for the Festival of Trees, and Mrs. Claus surrounded by Christmas books.
Mrs. Claus, played by OFTC President, Erica Harden, read several Christmas stories including Olive the Other Reindeer, Sammy Claus, and The Night Before Christmas.
Before dismissing, each student received a special Christmas coloring page and bookmark from OFTC, a pencil donated by WaCo Reads, and a book purchased with donations from WaCo Reads, the OFTC Foundation, and the Sandersville Rotary Club.
