Jefferson County Center

With the Jefferson County Center now open, OFTC will begin regular/traditional classes at this location beginning Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Our dual enrollment classes will begin on October 16, 2024 when the Jefferson County School System returns to their classes.

At this time, the phones at the Jefferson County Center are still not working. Students who need assistance should contact the Sandersville or Dublin Campuses.

Jefferson County Center students who are experiencing issues related to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and are unable to come to campus should make every effort to contact their instructors. Students can rest assured that we will continue to work with each student and situation during this time.

Adult Education

All OFTC Adult Education sites are back in session. If there are any questions, please call 478-274-7848 or email aevirtualenrollment@oftc.edu.

OFTC’s Jefferson County Center in Louisville is NOW open. Classes will resume a normal schedule.  Students who need internet and computer access may come to the center between 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8 am – 1 pm on Fridays.

Phones at the Jefferson County Center are currently not working. Students who need assistance should contact the Sandersville or Dublin Campus for assistance.

Although it is going to be a difficult, OFTC will open it’s Dublin and Sandersville campuses on Monday, October 7, 2024. At this time, we do not anticipate being able to open the Jefferson County Center or the Little Ocmulgee Instructional Center (LOIC). We will be working with our Jefferson County faculty and staff and adult education faculty at outlying sites to assist them in the coming days. 

Info for Students

  • Face-to-Face, Clinical, and Practicum Students – We welcome you back to campus next week, beginning Monday, October 7, 2024.  While we know that many of our areas are still without power and clear roads, your instructors will work with you to get caught up in your classes. If you are able, please reach out to your instructor if you are not able to attend class or need additional assistance
  • Online Students – If you are an online student and need access to computers and internet, you are more than welcome to come to our Dublin or Sandersville Campuses.  On the Dublin Campus, please come to the bottom floor of Louie Livingston Hall; signs will be posted as to where you may go to work.  On the Sandersville Campus, please come to the 200 wing; signs will be posted as to where you may go to work.

Please remember that many of our instructors are also without power and internet. If you do not have your instructor’s contact information at home or cannot reach your instructor, please email or text Michele Strickland at mstrickland@oftc.edu or 478-357-5398.

Fall Graduation Info

We are rescheduling our Fall Commencement exercises in Sandersville to Thursday, November 14, 2024. Our Office of Student Affairs and the Registrar staff will contact graduates with more details.
