DESCRIPTION:October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month\, a time to honor the fighters\, remember the lost\, and stand with the survivors. It’s a time for awareness\, education\, and action — because early detection saves lives. \nWe wear pink not just for visibility\, but for strength\, hope\, and support. Let’s continue to uplift one another\, share knowledge\, and encourage regular screenings and self-checks by wearing PINK every Wednesday in October. We also encourage everyone to pick a Wednesday and walk a lap in honor of a survivor or someone who lost their battle with breast cancer. \nShare your photos with us at studentlife@oftc.edu.

DESCRIPTION:On Red Out Day\, we come together to raise awareness about the serious impacts of alcohol and drug abuse on individuals\, families\, and our community. \nWe invite all students\, faculty and staff to wear red today! \nOne person can make the difference. \nThe Red Ribbon Week serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities\, educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. \nCelebrated each year in late October\, Red Ribbon Week inspires us to be brave and be drug-free and serves as a powerful reminder that ordinary Americans nationwide contribute significantly to their communities every day by embracing a drug-free lifestyle.
