Crowds Gather to Sip ‘N See during OFTC’s Annual Festival of Trees
Dublin, Ga., (OFTC) – Christmas melodies filled the air, decorated Christmas trees lined the halls, and cups of hot chocolate were poured while friends and family gathered to partake in the holiday cheer during a special Sip ‘N See event hosted at Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) Dublin Campus, Thursday, December 5.
The College hosts the Festival of Trees annually, an event where local businesses and organizations decorate trees to represent their brands and display them in the college’s Porter Center for public viewing. The special Sip ‘N See event hosted on the Dublin Campus is held after hours and allows the community to view the trees in a festive, holiday setting.
Students from Southwest Laurens Elementary School’s Choir performed a variety of Christmas songs again this year, entertaining festival guests and proud supporters alike.
Viewers also had the opportunity to vote for their fan-favorite tree which will be announced later this month. The winning tree will earn a special ‘Fan Favorite’ ornament to be displayed on its branches.
The Festival of Trees will continue through December 19 and is open for public viewing Monday – Thursday, 8 AM – 5 PM in Sandersville and Dublin. For more info or to learn how to sponsor a tree next year, contact Steve Knight at 478-274-7772 or visit the College’s website, OFTC.edu.
