Dr. Horadan holds reception for top students
Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) prides itself on celebrating the high level of academic achievement by its students. On May 29th and 30th, OFTC President Dr. Lloyd Horadan hosted two receptions for those students from all eleven counties in OFTC's service area making the presidents list for Spring 2012. This group of students was the first to be awarded this esteemed honor at OFTC.
Students enrolled in a degree, diploma or certificate program, took 12 credit hours or more, and maintained a 3.5 grade point average or higher are placed on the President's Scholar List.
Dr. Horadan told the President’s List students in attendance at both the Sandersville and Dublin receptions, “You are in the top 10 percent of students, and I am proud of all of your hard work. I also want to thank the family and friends you brought with you today. It is their encouragement and support that helped you achieve this great success.”
Dr. Horadan went on to talk about the new building construction at the North Campus, an update on the College’s intent to submit its application later this year to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on College (SACS COC), and new job opportunities available in the region thanks to new industry announcements.
