OFTC students receive Horadan Scholarships

DUBLIN - Four students from Oconee Fall Line Technical College have been awarded the Horadan Scholarship offered through the OFTC Foundation - South, Inc. The scholarship is awarded annually to students who are enrolled in the Early Childhood Care and Education Associate of Applied Science Degree at OFTC’s South Campus.

Dr. Lloyd Horadan, President of Oconee Fall Line Technical College, established the scholarship in memory of his mother, Joyce Horadan who was a life-long educator.

Those students awarded with the scholarships for Summer Semester are Linda Faye Edmond of Rentz, Darlene Ray of Dublin, Sabrina Harris of Dublin, and Lynetta Wells of McRae.

“These students love children and it shows,” said Gail Clark, OFTC Early Childhood Care and Education Instructor. “They are dependable, productive and excellent role models. The Horadan family is very generous to offer this scholarship to students in the early childhood education program.”
