Woodard receives Pilot Club of Eastman scholarship
Eastman – Catlin Woodard, a Practical Nursing student at Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s South Campus in Dublin and a Dodge County resident, has received a $350 scholarship from the Pilot Club of Eastman.
The Pilot Club of Eastman is a local chapter of Pilot International, a volunteer service organization whose service focus is helping people affected by brain related disorders.
“Our club supports initiatives toward education about brain health and also assistance for those with brain related disorders and diseases such as Alzheimer's, Autism, and Parkinson’s,” said Pilot Club member Nylan Hinson.
“This scholarship supports nursing students from Dodge County enrolled at OFTC who share our vision to serve others,” continued Hinson. “LPNs are often the primary caretakers in our local nursing homes taking care of patients with brain related disorders like Alzheimers."
“We congratulate Catlin for completing the Practical Nursing program at OFTC and hope the scholarship will help her with expenses related to her state board examination.”
